At 2648 West Grand Boulevard, in the heart of Detroit, there stands a house. Stretching across the front of this house is a banner with large blue letters that boldly reads, Hitsville U.S.A. And that title could not be more fitting.

In the 1950s, in the small snake pit studio in the basement of this house, producer Berry Gordy hired studio musicians The Funk Brothers to give life to his vision of the Motown sound. At Hitsville, the Funk Brothers proudly laid down the tracks on more number one hit songs than The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Rolling Stones and Elvis Presley combined.

It is the magic of 2648 West Grand Boulevard, and the genius of Berry Gordy and The Funk Brothers, that was the inspiration for San Francisco Bay Area musicians Anna Kremenliev, Rhonda Kinard, Kevin Church, Zoha Abbas, and Seth Chapla to form the R&B/Soul/Motown/Rock band so fittingly named, West Grand Boulevard.

West Grand Boulevard was formed in early 2003, and has performed at weddings, festivals, private parties/events, and clubs. With a repertoire of nearly one hundred songs from the 50's through the 90's, West Grand Boulevard can easily provide a morning, afternoon, or evening of fun and dancing for a crowd of any age or size.
